THE PROBLEM
Ovid is the world's leading information search, discovery, and management solution providing professionals in science, medicine, and healthcare all over the world with a single online destination for seamlessly accessing and working with premium online journals, books, and databases from the world's leading publishers.
This project’s charter was to bring Ovid into conformance with WCAG 2.0 guidelines and level AA compliance.
The Solution
Developer using PERL, HTML, CSS, .NET, JavaScript, jQuery technologies with WCAG 2.0 and it is hosted in RedHat Linux environment.
The project team implemented accessibility fixes to the pages that are divided into modules as Search, Journals, My Workspace, Books and Multimedia.
Manual Accessibility testing to be done using –

- aXe
- WAT toolbar
- Color Contrast Analyser
